The National Communication Authority (NCA), Somalia is responsible for planning and managing the radio frequency spectrum in Somalia. It is responsible for compliance with licensing requirements and investigating complaints of interference to services. The scope of the NCA role includes spectrum planning, frequency allocation, apparatus licensing; and frequency assignment and coordination.

STANDARD APPLICATION FOR RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) EQUIPMENT
A standard Radio Communication Application form is applicable for the following services: Aeronautical, Broadcasting, Maritime, Amateur, base/mobile, simplex, experimental, trial/test, demonstration, paging, message handling, relay, private and communal repeater, telemetry, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links (below and above 1 GHz), alarm monitoring, load management, message handling, radio trunking and satellite (uplinks VSAT, SNG).
