The ICT Regulatory Transformational Strategy and Roadmap, launched by the National Communications Authority (NCA) in August 2024, aims to modernize Somalia’s communications regulatory framework in line with ITU Generation 4 (G4) standards.
This strategy focuses on four key areas:

The ICT Price Basket (IPB) is a benchmarking tool used by the National Communications Authority (NCA) to monitor and evaluate the affordability of telecommunications services in Somalia. It tracks the prices of key ICT services—including mobile voice, SMS, and data bundles—across different operators and regions.
By regularly analyzing IPB data, the NCA ensures that telecom services remain competitively priced and accessible to the public, helping to promote digital inclusion and fair market practices throughout Somalia. Click Here
