The ICT Regulatory Transformational Strategy and Roadmap, launched by the National Communications Authority (NCA) in August 2024, aims to modernize Somalia’s communications regulatory framework in line with ITU Generation 4 (G4) standards.

This strategy focuses on four key areas:

• Strengthening regulatory authority

• Expanding institutional mandates

• Modernizing regulatory regimes

• Promoting fair competition

The roadmap follows a phased approach—starting with sector assessment, followed by implementation, monitoring, and alignment with international benchmarks. It sets a clear path toward a more dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready ICT ecosystem in Somalia. Click Here
