National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)
The National CSIRT is based at the NCA Center and operates under the Cybersecurity Department. It functions as Somalia’s official national Point of Contact (PoC) and central coordination hub for detecting, preventing, and responding to cyber threats. The National CSIRT provides 24/7 services, delivering timely incident response, technical support, and containment measures to reduce the impact of cyber incidents and maintain the continuity of critical operations. The National CSIRT conducts post-incident analysis to identify root causes, extract lessons learned, and continuously strengthen national cyber resilience. The National CSIRT collaborates with national law enforcement, intelligence services, and other security institutions to address complex and high-impact cyber threats that could compromise national security.

Digital Forensics
The Digital Forensics Section, under the Cybersecurity Department of NCA, is responsible for collecting, preserving, analyzing, and presenting digital evidence in line with international standards. It supports law enforcement, cybercrime investigations, fraud detection, and network vulnerability assessments by providing legally admissible forensic intelligence and technical expertise.
