Amateur Spectrum License
The Amateur Spectrum License authorizes individuals and amateur radio clubs to use specific frequency bands for non-commercial radio communication and experimentation. Amateur radio operators, often known as “hams,” contribute significantly to emergency communications, technical innovation, and fostering international goodwill through radio contact worldwide.
This license ensures that amateur radio activity in Somalia is properly regulated, interference-free, and aligned with international telecommunications standards.
Eligibility
This authorization is available to individuals or amateur radio clubs who wish to operate amateur radio equipment and engage in radio communication for personal, educational, or experimental purposes within Somalia.
